**FIRST EMAIL**/Robot Ship Date Coming Soon!

Greetings Teams:

Robot Ship Date: February 17, 2009

Yes, the time is almost here! Two more weeks from today and then it will be time to pack up the 'bots and send them off to have some fun!

There are many things to know about shipping your robot, and by now many of you have read the details in the FRC Competition Manual, Section 4, located at http://www.usfirst.org/community/frc/content.aspx?id=452.

We also want to be sure you review the information posted on the “Robot Shipping - Utilizing the FedEx Donation” page at: http://www.usfirst.org/community/frc/content.aspx?id=3570.

This page is designed to provide you with the FedEx donation guidelines and how-to instructions. Whether you are a new or returning Shipping Contact, you will want to review this page for this year’s information.

Please note that the “Robot Shipping - Utilizing the FedEx Donation” page is meant to supplement Section 4 of the 2009 Competition Manual, not to be read in lieu of it. Be sure to carefully read and understand all documents.

As always, if you have any questions please contact us at [email protected]. We hope to make your robot shipping experience go as smoothly as possible, and we highly encourage you to send questions early.

Go Teams!

Find those FedEx forms and copy down the Pro-numbers and put in a safe place!

NOTES:

  • Monday Feb. 16 is NOT a holiday for FedEx. Teams can call up to 10 days ahead to schedule.

  • From FRCTeams: Teams that qualify at a Regional and are unsure about going to the CMP may hold their crate until Tuesday. Please make sure the team alerts the SES rep at the event. Teams should leave their FedEx paperwork not filled in with a “TO” address. Once we hear from the team on whether or not the team is going we will work with SES to make sure the crate gets to where it needs to go. [actually I think they mean SES will hold their crate…]

  • Liftgate cost is listed now…$76.00
