vice grip in lieu of drilling the shaft for now and pinning the bearing (6805) to 2quare shaft adapter.

In action - excuse the shoddy video but I was short a hand

Its a little tight in there but no detectable backlash or wiggle.

This currently is missing some 3mm spacers so atm the gears are rubbing on the plate. Its also missing 5 in 5/16 bolts as axles. I currently only got 4.5 in which barely catch the thread. So I guess I will pick up a box of 5 in.

The square shaft with the vice grips on will be the power input here is a closer view of a collar/6805/squareshaft adapter intending to use an M5 through it and the shaft to hold things in place.

Final version probably also will get some lubrication

Material PETG and HIPS.
Bearings 608 and 6505
Hardware 5/16 5 in bolts as axles and misc M5 as mounting hardware.

Reason I use 5/16 instead of M8 as axles is that the 5/16 are slightly undersized (7.9375 mm) and I had problems getting some 8mm bearings on m8 bolts without some sanding/cleanup but the 608 and 688 and 628 bearings seem to fit nicely on 5/16 bolts as axles. I could use precision ground hardened 8mm shaft but I currently do not have anything that will cut them accurately to length so 5/16 bolt it is.
