A waitlist spot will not generate a wild card. T18 says you get them from teams that already qualified per T16. T16 says it’s if a team is pre-qualified (Hall of fame, previous year’s winners, etc) or meets the criteria from T17. T17 lists the three qualifying awards, winners, and wild card recipients. So, Waitlist doesn’t count.
