Let’s end sci-fi for 500. This classic was initially a major ratings success when it debuted in 1978 with a pilot episode detailing the destruction of human civilization by the robotic Cylons.
First thing that came to mind:
What was Star Trek: TNG
What is Battlestar Galactica?
What is Star Wars, the TV serries.

That was bad, Wetzel. Anyhow, Pat is correct.
::wonders if Big Mike now has the power to infiltrate other people’s minds and force them to put up, um, less than correct responses::

Yes, Battlestar Galactica was bad.
It was very bad.

Well, the pilot was good, but it inhaled audibly afterwards, and barely stretched out a season.
But I was pointing out that you implied that Galactica was a ripoff of Star Wars (which essentially, it was).
