We get to go back in time to the revolutionary era for a 400 pointer. This is the number of stripes the flag first called The Star Spangled Banner had.
What is 15?
What is 13?
The original design had 13 and there were 13 stripes until Vermont and Kentucky joined which bumped it up to 15 later on. Then a law lowered it back to 13. And sheesh, they say you don’t learn anything useful being a Poli Sci major who also takes a lot of history classes.
*What are 15
I mean, would you say- What is 15 stripes- or What are 15 stripes

I would say “What is 15?” because of the way Eddie worded the “answer”:
This IS the number of stripes the flag first called The Star Spangled Banner had.
P.S. The reason I responded was not that I felt so strongly about the matter. It was that I realized that by posting in the 6/9 thread, I inadvertently bumped that one to the top of the page, and someone might miss seeing this one.
Read the question carefully. The first Star Spangled Banner did indeed have 15 stripes.
