Alright, today,we have a special question (and it’s not my fault if it’s wrong). I am typing from Mike Murphy’s computer, and I have him and Lee Machado supervising this question. Yes, Murphy and Lee are ineligible for this one, but for the rest of you, for 400, this is the name of the first normal school established in the United States.

A “normal school” was the term used in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s for a school for training public school teachers. These schools were modeled after the European “Ecole Normale” or “model school.”
Prettymuch Katie spelled it out for you. But nobody had the correct answer. It was the Normal School of Bridgewater, now known as Bridgewater State, in Bridgewater Mass. (home of 88). If they need to, Murphy and Lee can add to this response.
Sorry I’m going to challenge this question b/c I was in fact right and I know I was.

Bridgewater just started the fire for normal schools to spread across the nation.

Well, Eddie said it wasn’t his fault, and it wasn’t. That was what they told me during my orientation, and I didn’t bother to check before giving it to him. Sorry.
