FIRST LEGO League SPIKE Robot Designs

I’ve created a handful of robots for the FLL community, and for those who are interested, I have created instructions.

The goal of these robots is to provide guidance for students, because as a mentor for FLL teams that run in less fortuned schools, some students have difficulty grasping Technic building for the first time. Therefore, by showing these designs and making students build them, I notice they learn a lot about different and interesting Technic building techniques. Yet, these robots are an improvement and a more tailored version for FIRST Lego League (FLL) than the frequently used Advanced Driving Base officially provided by LEGO.

This is where my prefab FLL robots come in, as I have designed the robots on purpose that have shortcomings that students must solve. Such as cable management, revising the extension connection system, etc. So, these robots can be viewed as a steppingstone to create your team’s first robot of the season, and then could be perfected and improved to better tailor your needs and the needs for the specific competition year.

As mentioned at the cover page of the PDF instructions, please mention to the judges that this is not your robot that you have made from the ground up, but a design that was found online, and was further improved by your team. Explain how your team improved it, where they got your ideas, and how it came about.

Each of these robots are provided with a detailed description of the features, and improvements.
