I remember at the kickoff that Dean mentioned doing his own FIRST movie. Does anyone have any info on that, or if FIRST 99 will be on the tube?

The folks at FIRST keep assuring us that something good/great/cool/huge/big is just around the corner with regard to a made for TV movie.
By the way, have heard that it will have a big time TV star playing the role of ‘Joe J – a good looking and all around nice guy who is also the best darn team leader a FIRST team has ever had’
Seriously though, I think that FIRST will tell us as soon as they are able. I don’t doubt that Hollywood negotiations rival those of Northern Ireland and the Middle East in terms of secrecy and behind the scenes deal making.
I expect great news soon.

Hey Joe!
I hope that FIRST isn’t holding up production until they find a movie star that
can fill your shoes! You, my friend are truely a one of a kind! The only real
answer can be to cast you as yourself! And while we are at it, that goes for
Mr. B. from Plymouth North, Bill and Brian Beattie from somewhere in Indiana,
Moe and Chris from TJ2, and Raul and the gang from Motorola - As well as
every single student that has ever participated. Sorry for not naming everyone of
the strangest, most fun loving people I have ever met at a FIRST event! All of you!
Come to think about it …
We don’t need no stinking movie stars! Just bring on the camera, and if they
need a script, I bet a few of us out here would love to assist in penning a beauty
of a story (have you ever seen any of Mr. B’s messages!)
