FIRST on Headline News

Hello Everyone,

A friend informed me today that FIRST had made headline news…I was just wondering if anyone had see it, what their opinons were. And also if anyone has it recorded/digitized.

Thanks,

Justin

There’s a link to the video on the CNN website. You need to sign up for their service to view it though, which requires a credit card etc.:

"Making the Moost of it
Jeanne learns how robots and basketballs promote the study of science "

Just by that description you can tell how horrible it’s going to be…

Dan

holy cow!!! they don’t even know the difference between a soccer ball and a basketball??

*edit: where is this link at?

The link for the CNN coverage is CNN Video Website

Was this footage about FIRST taken at the New York Regional, because I was watching that NY webcast in my dorm and they mentioned that CNN, the local news, and National Geographic was filming there. They said the footage was going to be on CNN but I never saw it. When was it on? When is this National Geographic coverage going to be on? I know they have this new National Geographic cable channel but if its going to be on there then someone should tape it.

 didnt see any coverage.
Basketballs? Do these people do any research? I mean come on, sure 20 of the balls were orange, but what about the bright yellow/green ones? Doesn’t that tip you off theres no basketballs?

btw, is that a temple icon 118 tech?

Replic that is the Texas Tech icon, GUNZ UP!!! The little description about the FIRST’s video coverage on CNN’s website says “The founder of a competition featuring robots and BASKETBALLS says he hopes the event promotes the study of science.” Basketball and Texas Tech I thought that i was through talking about those two topics together a few weeks ago. David Kelly, good luck to IU in the Final Four.
