The Carl Hayden Falcon Robotics team has rendered a one minute promotional video about how great FIRST is and it will be premiering at the Harkins Theater at the Tempe Market Place on February 15th!!! The video will be showing during the previews in all the theater’s auditoriums! Also there is a possibility that it will premiere in a west side theater as well. We predict that over 160,000 people in Arizona will watch the video this month!!! All Arizona teams please come down to the theater to watch the video. Team 842 will be meeting at the nearby restaurants to eat at 6 pm on the 15th in front of the theater and then we’ll choose a place to eat. Then we plan to watch a movie so we can see the preview!!! Very cool way to do Dean’s homework. I bet you’ll get lots of what I call “citizens” to your competition events… you know, not FIRST-folk.

Have you guys talked about ways to make them feel welcomed and to help them follow the OverDrive itself? I’m just brainstorming here- but what about inviting the teams in the stands to introduce themselves to the visitors? What about a special shout out to visitors to join the teams dancing on the field during “down time”…YMCA, chacha slide, etc.
