Well today will be the day that FIRSTBase is finally switching to 2009. If you try to go to the website, its says its down, which can only be a good thing. Now I can finally get Inventor 2009! Soon the mentors will be getting an email so be looking out for those.
The website is up, and seems to be working. The main contact will have to update there registration and then invite students and mentors. They have a new tool for downloading the installation file that is specifically for FIRST.
Anyone else been able to download Autodesk 2009, I just got it downloaded but the zip was broken, i then manually unzipped it with 7-zip, and the diagnostics show the langpack.exe and a few other files were broken. I am redownloading it now, 3GB takes a little while.
I haven’t had a chance yet, but my team is still waiting on our mentor to get it set up.
what is the link?
I downloaded with the student tool that my school got and it told me a file was not where it was suppose to be and the install closed.
Dont bother downloading it, I have tried on two computers now, the file is corrupt on autodesks side.
I submitted a report to FIRSTbase Tech Support so hopefully we will get a solution soon. I suggest the rest of you do the same so that Autodesk will see that it is a problem and hopefully get this corrected soon. Here is the link to report the problem http://firstbasefrc.autodesk.com/?nd=form__83
I did the same earlier in the day and included the location of the broken files in the zip. Also dont bother trying the direct link, I tried it and it is the same broken file.
