Fisher Price 00968-9013 motor

*Has anyone found a source for FP9013 motors?? (Other than the KoP)

*

I would hope they mean the Part # 00968-9012 since that motor is listed in FIRST Choice and on the motor spec sheet.

http://www.andymark.com/Motor-Gearbox-assembly-fc12-73-p/fc12-73.htm

This is something for the Q&A.

Also there are 4 motors listed on the spec sheet but only 3 parts numbers on the allowed motor list. There are 3 on FIRST Choice and one came in the Kit so there should be 4 part numbers.

Andymark.com lists the 00801-0673 as being from the 2011 KOP. But the motor spec sheet says the 000968‐9015 is from the 2011 KOP. I’m not really sure which fisher price motor is which any more.

I just ordered 4 00801-0673 (2 are spares) and that’s what my team is sticking with.

9012 is listed in FIRST Choice and the spec sheet.

9013 is listed in the Kit of Parts Checklist RevA and the Game Manual [R48] legal motors rule.

Go figure.

See attached pics. “9013” appears twice in the KoP Checklist RevA, once for the motor and once for the gearbox. Hard to tell for sure from the angle of the picture, but the 9013 gearbox pictured in the KoP Checklist doesn’t look like the 9012 gearbox pictured in FIRST Choice.

Anyone have a definitive answer to this - which fisher-price motor is from which year?

2011:

The 0673 motor is listed in the KoP Checklist but the 9015 motor is not:

2010:

The 9015 is listed in the KoP Checklist but the 0673 is not:

http://www.usfirst.org/uploadedFiles/Community/FRC/Game_and_Season__Info/2010_Assets/2010%20Kit%20Of%20Parts%20Checklist_RevC.pdf

2012:

The 0673 is listed in the Game Manual rule [R48] and the motor spec table.

The 9015 is listed in the Game Manual rule [R48] and the motor spec table.

The 9013 is listed in the Game Manual rule [R48] but not the motor spec table.

The 9012 is listed in the motor spec table but not the Game Manual rule [R48]

[strike]I’ve just been informed (by someone in a position to know) that the listing of “9013” in the 2012 KoP Checklist RevA is an error. It should be 9012.[/strike]

Per Team UPDATE - 2012-01-13, the FP-9012 has been added to [R48] in addition to the FP-9013.

As of 1/13/2012 8:35pm ET, Fp-9013 is still not listed in the motor specs table.

See attachment.

Well, I hope the -9013 is a legal motor, because that’s what came in our KoP!

Seriously? Would you please take a picture and post it?

Yep -0913 came in ours too . . .

9013 in our kit as well.

The new team update added 00968-9012, and kept -9013.

Still looking for motor specs for FP-9013. Can anyone help ?

I am looking. I remember this motor from a long time ago. It had a bunch of different part numbers at the time. If it is the one I am thinking of, then I just got real excited…

I am in the air right now on the way back to Detroit and will check when I get to the team build site tomorrow.

I hope they are ones that would make you excited, since the 2011 FP is sold out on AndyMark now and we hadn’t ordered any yet. Does anyone know of another source for the 2011 FP edit - or extra 2012 FP?

Is that the 400-watt monster?

I’ll have to check the archives…

As far as I remember (and is supported by the limited past info I have access to), the 00801-0673 is the FP with greater max power (about 100W higher than the 9012 and 9015). I have no info on the -9013’s at all, though.

Does anyone know when the 0673 will be back in stock?

The 0673 also spins with a higher free speed than the 9012 FP - handy for a flywheel…

All,

To follow up with my investigation …

The 00801-0673 is the motor from my post in the following thread from 2002 (man, I don’t feel that old). I am certain that this motor has the specs from the chart in the thread below. I suspect any other specs as I received those straight from the actual manufacturer.

http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2373&highlight=00801-0673

Anyway, we still have a bunch of these motors sealed up in almost new condition.

FWIW, comparing to http://www.usfirst.org/sites/default/files/MotorInfo4.1.pdf

  • stall oz-in 72.8 vs 75.4

  • free rpm 20236 vs 20770

  • max watts 273.7 vs 291.6

  • stall amps 109.4 vs 108.7

  • free amps 1.86 vs 0.82

very close, but still different (so probably from a different source)

I wonder where FRC got their specs. Anyone know?
