After not using the Fisher-Price motors last year, we have decided to use them for this year’s competition.
So, for the FIRST time, we need to order (or trade for) some motors.
I see in update #3 that it is a Mabutchi motor, model RS-550PF-6534.
Any hints on where these can be purchased?

ps… for you traders, we can hock the gyro, one window lift motor, misc. hardware, and possibly our battery charger.

Call Fisher Price and find a local service center for powerwheels.
The motor/gearbox is from an ‘extreme machine’
The gearbox with motor is something like $35 each (part number 74460-9519)
I think the motor and gearbox are each available separately. Don’t know the part number, but I think they were on the order of $20 each.
Be careful to get the motors that have the right pinion on it. COUNT the teeth, don’t take the word of the guy behind the parts counter. TRUST ME ON THIS ONE. We have learned the hard way that motors are mis-ordered & mis-stocked & mis-sold. Don’t be forced to make two (or more) trips.
