Anyone using Fisher Price motors for driving? If so what part did you order (link?)to get it to mount to your wheels? I think we will use the CIMs for the shooter is the reason I ask. On Barbie jeeps they work great, but it seems we were provided little to make them work as intended, such as no mounting screws for motor to gearbox, not to mention the gearbox itself being difficult to mount to anything and be stable.

Under the same load conditions the FP will heat up faster than the CIM. For one of the FP’s that FIRST has used in the past, I estimate the FP’s rate of temperature rise at similar loading to be about five times faster than the CIM’s.
I think there are mounting screws in there–they are fairly long and I think they have blue locktite on the tip. They’re in one of the bags. The gearbox can be mounted with a long shaft through a piece of aluminum; I’ve built a few of those mounts in my time.
But, CIMs are better than FPs for driving FRC robots. I’ve seen or heard of several drive-based FPs releasing smoke due to not being able to cool themselves fast enough in certain situations in the drive. FPs need to run fast to stay cool; run them at stall (say, in a pushing match) and they overheat quickly.
The pinions are described in the below thread as being 31.75 pitch, which is close enough to 32 pitch that you could make a gearbox using standard 32 pitch gears from McMaster-Carr or other gear suppliers.
Whether you want to do all that transmission fabrication work is another question.
