Fix this...

I have had a pet peeve for quite some time and I think it is fixable. Just not sure how. So, I thought I’d start a thread for it and others problems.

We like to fix things, this thread will be a place for people to post a problem. It can be a minor issue in life, it can be a personal dilemma, it can be anything that can be fixed.

The responses to these problems will be possible solutions. Some we may use, others we won’t. It’s just a place to spit ball ideas.

The problem solver does not have to present a new problem, nor does a person with a problem have to solve the prior. We can have as many problems going at once as we want. This thread is welcome to die and revive as it seems fit.

Ok now that that is all said, I will present my problem:

I buy a new pack of socks and wash them. These socks are all the same brand, same size, same color. Theoretically, the same. However, after they are washed once or twice…the fade differently. Some stay black, while others become varying shades of gray. I bought a pack of socks, and after a few washes none of them really match any more.

Anyone care to solve my problem?
Anyone have a problem of their own?

What color socks?

If you wash them in a vinegar solution (1 part vinegar 3 parts water) it will help set the color.

wear white socks

Wear longer pants.

WWJD? He would wear sandals. Problem solved.

Drink until everything is black?

Ignoring that become the crazy sock guy.

Black socks, and I’ll look into that. Sounds like a good idea.

I’m too set in my ways to change to white. Not a bad idea though.

Its not that I care that people see they are different, it is that they are different. I guess I’m just particular about things like this.

Another good solution, now if I only had sandals.

Ok, as Ike suggested…I think this problem is solved, thanks to IndySam.

Anyone have a problem they want to have solved?
It would seem this thread will have a good response rate.

Seriously, I started the thread…went for a walk…got back and found this many solutions. I should have started this thread months ago.
