FLL on TV!!

I was just flipping through the channels, and I saw a show called “ZOOM!” and they were competing with last years FLL game. Anyone else find this cool? I think this is great how kids that are like 10-13 are getting exposed to FLL on TV. Have any other tv shows showcased FLL before??

I have seen stuff about FLL on Zoom before where they formed their own team and filmed thier progress through the season.

Perhaps you are seeing a rerun?

Anyways, I thought it was cool too.
I taped all of the episodes last time it ran and showed them to the lego team that I mentor.

however, I have not seen FLL on any other TV shows… yet.

Yes I saw it on last week. They had 2-3 short segments on how they prepared. Then another one was them actually competing at the State Tournament. This was all the Mission Mars Challenge. I hope they do something again this year for the No Limits Challenge.

While I was writing this I vaguely remembered a E-mail Blast about it. Did a Chief Delphi Search and:

Came up

The segments would make good presentation material if someone had them all in order.

Zoom was at last years play day in D.C. they were doing activites with the local schools who came to see the robots “play”.

I sat back on the couch after a LONG day of putting on our Manchester Area/BAE FIRST LEGO Comp. You sit there saying “why do I do this” while zipping through TV channels. Then you hit a repeat of FIRST LEGO on tv and stop to watch (again)…10 seconds later, your daughter pops onto the screen as the ZOOM team coach. I guess that is why we do it. We have the whole series of DVD.
