This is interesting.
I’m watching the webcast and I see all of the teams going straight for the top two rows. At GSR, everyone was fighting for the bottom row.
It’s amazing how much strategies differ between regions.

Team 86 has a very reliable ramp/lift mechanism. It looks to be easy to climb, and lifts every time.
180’s ramp is massive…
i bet who ever wins between 1902 179 108 and 233 180 1889 wins the finals, those alliances are just too strong.
these are definitely some of the best matches I’ve seen this year. Great job teams!
Finals: 108 179 1902 v 1251 86 1270
That last semi final match was really close, with the #2 alliance pulling out the win 10-8 over 233, 180 and 1889.
EDIT: The 1902, 179, 386 [replacement for 108] alliance just won the first match 16-4.
Also does anyone know why the number four alliance is red instead of blue? I always thought that the higher seeded alliance was red…
In the quarterfinals and semifinals that’s the case. But in the finals the left side of the ladder gets the red side, and the right side of the bracket gets the blue side.
Good job to everyone, and congratulations to 1270, 86 and 1251
That was a really close final match, I enjoyed watching it.
Good job tech tigers
Wow! What an amazing end! Congrats to 1270, 86, and 1251!
Congrats to all the winners of various things at the awards ceremony, too
I think the winning alliance took everyone by surprise!
Congratulation to 1270 - 86 - 1251! You guys played some amazing matches. (Gotta love 86’s ramp)
That was an intense final match! I’m surprised ramps didn’t play into strategy as much earlier on. Towards the end, it looked like everything was getting decided in the last 25 seconds… Anyhow, congrats to the winners!
As I have alway figured, ramps make all the difference. Congrats to the winners. That was an awesome finals.
Thanks to all the teams that supported us. Way to go Red Dragons! I was not able to make it to the Florida Regional due to my wife being pregnant, but watched the matched on the webcast! What a great job!
I talked to our team a little while ago…something I did not notice was that team 86 busted their transmission in the 1st finals match. The next two matches they sat back and just acted as the ramp (what a great ramp). Amazing job to them and our partners, 1251, for scoring ringers! See you and 86 at the Championship!
Congrats to the winning alliance :-D.
Especially to 1251, I’m very proud of you guys and was psyched when I found out you guys took another regional. Soooo proud of my tech tigers!!
we beat them in 2 on 3, because we missed the deadline to put in the sub by like 10 seconds.
Video from the Florida Regional will be on The Blue Alliance Match Archive System in a matter of minutes, just as soon as I can encode and upload it, thanks to SOAP.
I was completely surprised that my team, 1521, and 1270 took the regional at that last match. I never knew that we were going into the finals. It was intense and fun. Big thanks to everyone who makes the event possible and all of the teams that showed up and share Gracious Professionalism there. I am glad that Florida Regional’s home feeling and welcoming hearts made the event a blast that will never be forgotten. Congrats to all the award winners and finalists! We will see you guys at the Championship!
Take it easy and we all have a lot of things ahead of us beside the events including community services, and spreading FIRST.
Thank you,

Congratulation to 1270 - 86 - 1251!
You played a great game taking us down to the wire. We were lucky to be in the finals having to play with only two bots especially against the likes of 180 233 and 1889.
I feel honored that we made #2 seed and #2 in finals in one of the toughest regionals.
You guys had an amazing alliance, 1902 was such an amazing scorer, 179 played some amazing defense in the first 2 matches, and in the last match your offense was impressive. And finally 386, you guys gave us a run for it as well, your autonomous mode scared us a little bit. overall congrats to the #2 allaince, great job on everyones part.
First of all, many kudos to 1270, 86, and 1251!
The Florida Regional for 2007 will definitely be one of my most memorable regionals. We went from being seeded DEAD LAST to getting in the #6 seeded alliance (THANK YOU S.P.A.M.!) with another amazing robot (HAZE! (thats 1889, right? Tytus dont kill me if i got it wrong…)), and then making it to the semifinals.
Yeah, the radio issue was irritating… everyone on my team was genuinely thrilled about being able to replay quarterfinal #4.
SigmaC@TS, Children of the Swamp, Exploding Bacon, and Voltage, you all were an incredible alliance to go against… after you took us out we were rooting for you the whole time! Congratulations on getting so far, in the end it was really close and either of you could have won it.
And KRUNCH, congrats on getting Chairmans again.
