This version of CA uses raspberry Pi’s to emulate keyboard strokes How Can I Build an FMS? - #14 by cpapplefamily
@Jaci Any updates on JMS software or the hardware for it?
The software is ready, it just needs some more doco and updates to the scoring once we get the 2025 game. There’s some modifications we need to do to support a “lite” version of the hardware, but that’ll happen in the new year.
We’re finalising the custom hardware components (mostly the team signs) since we had some power issues with them at our event this year. My hands are a bit full with the MitoCANdria launch at the moment, but this will be the next thing I tackle in the new year. We’re planning for a launch later in the year, so if you’re looking for a solution fairly urgently it might be worth looking at CA.
Sounds like it will be awsome. Dont need anything urgent just really curious about how its going because it looks really promising.
I want to also post this here
If there is a way to not need a PLC, but able to use the A-stop and E-stop keypad that would be great
Off-Season FMS does not alter the behavior of the DS keyboard shortcuts.
So, if I were to use Cheesy Arena, it wont override it?
Cheesy Arena is setup to use the same communication port as FMS.
So the keyboard shortcuts are disabled.
You can compile your own build of Cheesy Arena and change the FMS communication port to 1120 (the port Off-Season FMS uses)
Note, this will also require accepting FMS control in the DS software.
