This year, when we sat down to watch the Youth Protection Program video, students on our team felt that the video was outdated and no longer represented current society. Students noticed a lack of diversity represented in the video and strongly felt that students weren’t encouraged to self-advocate, especially women. So one of our students led a project to update the video to share with the FIRST community. Our whole team came together to film the video because we feel extremely passionate about self-advocacy and encouraging diversity within STEM. This is our preliminary version of the video, and we have a few updates that we will be doing in the coming weeks.
