Week 4 Recap

Yes, yes you have seen good results with it!! At least from our point of view. It looks very effective!!! I like the addition of the omni wheels to your outside plate for the intake also. I’m assuming that was for function, not just setting the height of the intake? Also if i may ask, what belt and pulley combo are you using to “transfer” the note up theough the intake? (And it transfers the power to the front wheels).

The bot is looking great! I was wondering how your AMP Scoring is working for you. We’ve had inconsistent results with a similar setup

What ratio does intake have?

The Omnis actually were just to get the height perfect for the intake prototype. We do not plan to mount Omnis on our final robot. We are using 30t pulleys with HTD belts on our intake as well.

We have not done a crazy amount of testing yet, but we found pitching our shooter up high did have rather consistent results.

Alphabot Climber Test

Final Alpha Bot Design

We have mechanically completed our alpha bot! For our practice and competition robot designs, our main changes will involve creating a transfer mechanism that does not bend the notes, as well as has a dedicated trap mechanism. Our alpha bot will now be used by software for testing and auto routines!

Turret Tracking Test!

We have made great progress on our April tag vision code, and turret software. We have also began finalizing all design choices for our final robot CAD!

Hi, can you please share the ratio for your climb arm? thanks.

We are using 1 falcon 500, with a 36.46:1 ratio, however we would have liked to make it a higher ratio so it would stay up better. Here are the gears we used!

Week 5 Recap

We have made great use of our Alpha Robot, and we are now in the process of designing and fabricating our competition robot based on our findings!

What is the structure of the intake in your robot? We made a design similar to this system, but we could not center the note exactly like you. can you help us? Instead of wheels, we will use a pipe wrapped with special tape that increases the retention of the note. Can you share the CAD design?

Advantage Scope Testing!

We have really been liking advantage scope so far! Big thanks to Team 6328, Mechanical Advantage for developing it!

Hmm…who’s that in FIRST’s newest video thumbnail?

Our intake has a series of 2" flex wheels to initially pick up the note, and then a series of 3" and 4" flex wheels to take care of the centering. We will be releasing the cad at the end of the season but we ill be posting videos of it working very soon!

Thats so awesome! Our team was talking all about that Thursday.

Competition Adjustable Hood Test

Robot Turret Test

We have made great progress so far this week! Our shooter is fully assembled and is now being wired. Additionally our intake an transfer are almost 100% designed and will be cut soon as well!
