Remember Frank Answers Fridays? We’re starting it back up. Send your good questions about FRC to [email protected]. As I said in the original blog about this feature last year, “A ‘good’ question is one that has broad applicability to the FRC program, addresses a key issue, and is well thought out.” I may not be able to answer a question every Friday, but I’ll try.

Deadline on Air Force Leadership Seminar

Are you an FRC Mentor who is also a teacher? First, THANK YOU! Second, the deadline is coming up to submit your application for the 3rd Annual Air Force Leadership Seminar in Colorado. Deadline for applications is this Friday, June 6th. If you are selected, seminar and travel costs will be generously paid for by the U.S. Air Force. See all the details here.

Another Deadline

Did you get a Rookie grant through FIRST this year? If so, there’s another deadline – one you don’t want to miss – and that’s to get your lessons learned documented, posted and shared. You should have received a few reminder emails from us on this. Unfortunately, the deadline is today, June 2. Sharing your lessons learned is a requirement for receiving the 2nd year of your funding under this grant. If you will be challenged in meeting this deadline, or have other questions, please send an email to [email protected].

Saying ‘Thanks’

How does your team say ‘thanks’ after the season to all the many people who help support you? If you have a business plan for your team – and I hope you do – does it include how you plan to recognize and say ‘thank you’ to your sponsors? In my experience, sending out thanks to all those who deserve it is one of those items that can always be done ‘next week’ until the next season is upon you and the window has closed.

If any teams have interesting ways of thanking their sponsors and other supporters, please share them below in the comments section.

Thank you!

Frank

Going above and beyond just saying “Thank You,” goes a long way towards everlasting partnerships and raising funds.
