Mexico City Regional Canceled
Because of the tragic September 19th earthquake in Mexico City, FIRST has canceled the 2018 FIRST Robotics Competition Regional planned for that area. We will be working to reassign teams currently registered there to the Monterrey and Laguna Regionals.Our hearts go out to those affected by this terrible event, and we wish everyone the best of luck as they work to recover.
Second Round of Event Preferencing is Open
The Team Registration System is accepting second-round event preference submissions right now. See this blog for info and more details here.Remember, it doesn’t matter when you get your preferences in, as long as you get them in by the deadline of Noon Eastern Time, Thursday, October 19th. But you need to get your preferences in by that deadline, as there will be no extensions. If you are unsure what Noon Eastern Time is in your part of the world, try this tool. Just put your city in the place indicated, and the tool will do the rest.

It would be awesome if some FIRST sponsors helped MC teams with travel expenses too, but helping them get their shops and schools in order would be even better.
