Congrats Dean! I know I’ll be watching!

Way to go Dean! A well deserved award!

Congrats Dean! I’ll hopefully try to to tune in and watch tonight.

I wonder what Dean will wear to the gala

Do tuxedos come in denim?

Congrats to Dean on a well deserved award!

That picture is over 10 years old…I think Sasquatch has been seen more recently!

That has happened, very VERY rarely. Big awards (ex: anything where you would meet the President), and his big brother’s wedding. That’s about it. I bet if it happened this time, it’ll be in FIRST’s photos from the event. So if that’s what you’re really interested in here, that’s where to look.

More than the evening’s fashion, I’m so excited that DEKA’s projects (you know, the ones that *aren’t *the Segway) are getting more and more attention lately. Life-saving medical devices, life-changing assistive devices, and water solutions for the third world are far more important than a toy.

Dean being recognized for his efforts sure makes me a very proud FIRSTer, DEKA intern, and -most of all- niece. Congrats, Dean.

Congratulations Dean! I can think of no one else more deserving of this award, both for your DEKA projects and for creating the amazing program we know as FIRST.
