As the 2024 competition season is underway we have some new content and changes to two complementary content pieces that involve dozens of correspondents from 6 countries! All of these can be viewed on FUN’s YouTube Channel once uploaded.
FRC Forecast takes the essence of our Championship Previews and Prediction Show of giving a brief preview and then selecting up to 5 teams per event to dive more into:
1-2 Locks (teams we expect to win the event)
2-3 Contenders (up and coming teams or ones that could really give the locks a run for their money)
1 Dark Horse team (a team that unless you are from the area may have never heard of that you really need to keep an eye on)
Each week we will select 8 events to Forecast and here’s the lineup for Week 1:

Over the 6 weeks we will try to create a moderate geographical spread of interesting events. We didn’t think trying to tackle every event in it’s pilot year would be in-scope. Week 6 we will cover every DCMP and potentially any that have divisions (depending on timing).
Forecast will come out weekly on Wednesday afternoons (starting Feb 28)
FRC Recap has gone through a re-tooling for CRESCENDO to focus more on specific moments in an event rather than a broad recap. We’ll still cover notable teams and culture changing award winners but the bulk of recap will be diving into a couple key matches of the event and talking about the importance of those matches and the impact it had on teams and alliances. We hope this change is welcome as we continue to try to iterate and re-fresh content.
FRC Recap will also only be available on YouTube videos (not live this year) This gives our correspondents who have very quick turnarounds a little more time and this way we can standardize Recap timings each week rather than trying to fit everything in a 90 minute block.
FRC Recap will come out weekly on Tuesday afternoons (starting March 5th)
