I have colleagues in Italy. Are there any FRC teams in Milan? Other parts of Italy?
If not, I see some potential for really cool outreach!
As of now, no teams exist in Italy. Go start some!
To the best of my knowledge (and the team search on the FIRST website), there are no FRC or FTC teams in Italy.
I can’t vouch for FLL, however. THAT I would bet has some teams. Unfortunately, that’s not particularly searchable on the FIRST site.
The closest FRC team would have to be the rookie in Switzerland, 6417.
Looks like I may have stumbled into a very intriguing off-season project for our team… will investigate!
Cool! If you happen to come across any teams in neighboring Slovenia, please let me know - I’d be interested to help remotely mentor them in control system electronics/software.
Our team has a funny related story. Last year at champs, four of our team were sitting around in the VIP/volunteer lounge. One of our students had been to Italy a couple weeks earlier over Spring Break and was wearing an “ITALIA” jacket with the Italian flag colors and all.
Dr. Woodie Flowers himself came over to talk to us. The two students were excited, but I had already predicted what he was going to say.
“I didn’t know we had teams in Italy!”

I’m leaving for Sicily on the 8th, and during my stay, ill be visiting an Italian high school. This should be interesting!
