During inspection, will the judges be using meter sticks or measuring tape, calipers, or will they be putting a box the dimensions of the robot over to see if it fits within regulation. So far it kind of looks like our robot is about 1/4 of an inch too big. Will we be able to slightly squeeze the bumpers or will the judges call us off for 1/4 of an inch? Any recommendations to shrinking the size of our robot?

This was also asked in the Q&A and answered
A ROBOT that requires “extreme compression of the BUMPERS” to comply with R03 does not comply with R03.
ROBOTS must fit within the volume specified in R03; teams should not be counting on any particular procedure or tolerance to make sure they fit within that volume.
(also judges are the people who walk around the pits and ask teams questions for awards, inspectors wear bright yellow hats and inspect robots)
