So
I definitely thought yesterday was extended, not today, especially because it’s literally not even Thanksgiving anymore. Sorry for not telling y’all about my flight, didn’t realize it would be at EoD!
Anyways, I’m confident enough I won’t die after yesterday to make writing this up in advance well worth it. I’ll be posting this right at SoD and then falling asleep, so I’ll answer any questions you have when I wake up.
First off, I must apologize. It’s obvious to me that trying to play while traveling so much was a mistake, and I’m really sorry I haven’t been able to make that much progress since, like, day 2 or 3.
More importantly than activity, however, I have been wrong this game. Much more wrong than usual. I’d point to how long it’s been since I played more than half of one in-game day, but that would only be an excuse. I was wrong on squirrel, I was wrong on Mika, and I was wrong on k.aylee.
To be honest, I think the chance k.aylee2412 is scum here is exceedingly low. Although we only know four of the scum’s night kills (including tonight), it’s obvious that they are going for impactful and townread players, such as snowman and EricKline, so they aren’t incompetent. Therefore, if we trust in scum not being brain-dead, k.aylee is town.
At an EoD between two town players, one of whom is quack and one of whom is me, I find it incredibly unlikely that a member of the Mafia would unvote me to let quack get lynched over at least taking a 50% chance at getting rid of me. Ergo, she basically has to be town.
@k.aylee2412 sorry this took so long to get to, hopefully you can move forward and help find the real scum from now on.
As for who is scum, I think the wagons are telling.

Let’s remove everyone who I’m extremely confident is town:

Note how pretty much the entire PoE pool is gunning for my lynch? While it’s certainly possible for EricH or gellnick to be scum, I’m actively townreading gellnick and townleaning EricH, so at a minimum I see two scum on my wagon.
Fortunately, this puts me in a really, really good position, having survived yesterday - rather than picking out one of 4 scum from 13 players, we now need only pick out one of 2 from 3. And by stacking their votes on me, they’ve done a darn good job of both making it clear I am town, while also making it clear who they are.
In particular, re-reading today’s posts brought quin to my attention. I certainly wouldn’t ignore the others, but note a few things they did today.
First off, asking for lists but not encouraging people to explain why people were placed where they are seems like a great way to look like you are promoting discussion without really doing all that much.
Secondarily, I already got vibes from their interaction with kaitlynn that at least one of the two was scum, and out of those two TwoAndAHalfLads was by far less noticeable, a trait I’m not convinced wasn’t newbie scum trying to lay low.
However, the real kickers were some things I noticed while catching up after my flight landed.
First off, their post voting me also had this big paragraph about how “oh I totally think Mink is scummy but like they’re too scummy to be scum” which is just wrong and seems a lot like wanting to defend a buddy without wanting to seem like you’re on their side.
Notably, the very same Mink they were defending also put me several spots above quack in their list. Guess where their vote ended up (allegedly for “self-preservation” but they weren’t really at any risk of that, really seems like hopping on a bandwagon).
Quin also got into an argument with Bepwei that basically amounted to “I think we should kill the guy who is finding all the town because if we lynch him and he’s town that confirms everyone he found” which is just backwards logic this late in the game. That would have been acceptable on day 2, but by day 5 trying to lynch to confirm town that are already as good as confirmed makes no sense unless you just want more town dead.
Notably, quin’s argument here is just factually incorrect. The only reason I ended up contributing to the two Town players who got lynched on days 1 and 3, Ari and Spork, was to break a tie. Both other days I have not been successful in leading the lynches I wanted to. To paint me as some controlling force pushing mislynches is blatantly and visibly untruthful.
They also start throwing shade at the members of the town bloc on the quack wagon, something scum need to start doing if they want to avoid getting lynched:
I’ll throw in more Mink defense because why not
And additional shade on the town bloc for good measure
In short, a quin/mink scumteam is a near certainty in my eyes, but quin needs to go.
/vote @quin
Now goodnight
