The moment we have all been waiting for, the broadcast will be hitting the air and web May 31 at 8pm est. Please spread the word. We want everyone to tune in or log on. This is a great way to get people excited about FIRST. If you know of anyone who is interested in starting a team or joining a team this is a great way to show them how much fun it can be.
The show last year was really cool, with color commentary by FRC legend and IRI MC Paul Copioli.
This year’s show might just be even better – FRC walking encyclopedia and Einstein MC Dave Verbrugge is at the commentary microphone. Have the popcorn ready, it is going to be exciting.
Team 2054 is going to have a potluck dinner and handing out “Varsity Letters” that night at our high school. Then we are going to watch it “live streaming”. Hopefully the West Side of State will be watching too. It is probably too late for the GVSU PBS station to try to air it for the west side viewing. I will try to contact them to see if they can air it or have a rebroadcast. Thanks for doing this special, Detroit Public TV (channel 56)!!! This is an awesome way for spreading the word of FIRST!!
There will also be a live stream going as well for those outside teh Detroit Metro Area:

Dang. Working tonight and wont be able to watch it. Any info on a place to watch it after the broadcast? Im wondering since we are ight across the detroit river, if we will be able to watch it over the TV or just have to watch it through the live stream?
Reminder to all facebook pages: you should advertise about this on your teams facebook page to help get the word out.
It’s archived on the site so people can still watch it. It’s a great watch and Dave specifically does a fantastic job as usual. The only thing I didn’t like was that Dave wasn’t the MC but I guess he can’t do everything. I particularly liked the fancy graphics they had up for the scores and brackets.
I giant thank GM for sponsoring this broadcast again. The first thing people at work said to me this morning was how awesome the broadcast was and how fun FIRST must be.
