Do you have a menu button on your phone? If so, press that to change color, erase, and save. When changing color, make sure to press the colored circle in the center to confirm your selection. If you don’t have a menu button, an on-screen menu should be added soon.
I like the idea, but seeing as many Android devices don’t have hardware menu buttons this is useless for a lot of people. Either add and ActionBar or lower your SDK version to force showing the menu icon in the onscreen navigation bar. I look forward to an update!
Thank you to everyone for your suggestions and feedback. The new update contains an on-screen menu for phones without a menu button. Now, everyone should be able to change colors,* erase, and save.
*When changing colors, press the circle in the center of the color wheel to confirm your choice.
We’re using Android as our initial platform since it’s free and our programmers are trained in coding for it, but we’re considering expanding to iOS in the future.
Just downloaded it yesterday in preparation for competition. Great work, noticing a couple bugs though on my Samsung Galaxy S4.
Saving doesn’t work. Pushing clear works, but the new drawing window after a clear is much smaller. Also, changing colors and not hitting the center color wheel to confirm can do the same thing.
Thanks for the app, hope to see it in future years and hope it continues to improve. Thanks!
I see the save button, but how do I load them afterward?
Also, sometimes drawing doesn’t work. When I draw a stroke, it dissapears when I lift my finger. (sometimes)
Thank you for all of the feedback! We’ve released another update for FRC PlayMaker, including several bug fixes and the option to add “robots” to your diagram. Robots can be moved and placed in the “Add Robots” mode.
To answer the question about saving drawings, the drawings save to your device’s storage as .png pictures. Simply go to your device’s storage (in “Files”) to find the saved drawings.
