Hello. I finished modeling up a simpler version of the Upper Hub based on FIRST’s Offical Upper Hub Design. We are almost done building it at our meeting, we just need to attach the Hub Ring to it.
- It keeps the Fender if your robot needs it for lining up
- Lower plywood supports are also the same height as the Lower Hub.
- Does not interlock like official FIRST practice field, but latches can be added to remove the Hub Top and Bottom
- The Hub ring was cut on a CNC router but you can get away with jigsawing circles or PVC pipe and mounting.
- The Hub Ring has been modified to fit on smaller CNC routers as well
Let me know what you think. The instructions are not the best (as it was hastily made last night) but the ZIP file includes both Solidworks and STEP files. A cut list is also on the instructions PDF (for the CNC router part there are too many Ring connectors shown on the PDF. You only need 8)
