Thank you to everyone who tuned in last night for FUN Recap and the the FRCTop25 for week 2. We had 196 votes this last week and hope you decide to keep voting!

Out of pure curiosity, where did 33 and 67 come in, or are these just week 2 robots not week 1?

I think two of the most underrated teams in this poll were 1732 and 1706. Their alliance at St. Louis could have held strong against any of those top 5 alliances.

Then again, I didn’t vote. Next week I guess I’ll have to…

I, too, was surprised to see them so low. Both should have been in the top 5.

Hey, I’m just happy we made it onto the list! I don’t think we ever have before.

A team’s ranking is calculated as follows;

(How Good they are) X (how much hype they had last year) X (how popular was the event they’re at) X (how popular is the region they are from)

It seems like Midwest are teams are chronically under-ranked compared to Canada, Texas, California and a few popular outliers.

Rankings make a lore more sense with that.

I would also add x (who votes from which region). Some regions are under-represented by the amount of voters. I would encourage you to get others to vote so your region is better represented.

If you don’t compete in a given region, chances are you’ll only recall teams from that region that have been strong, and thus well-known, in the past. Case in point for Week 2: I really like 469, but they were clearly not the best Michigan team playing this past weekend. Don’t take my word for it; Jim and Dan agree that several other teams looked better.

However, the season is still young. :slight_smile:

341 was the only MAR team to make Top 40 during week one at 28th. 25 is the only MAR team in week 2’s Top 40 at 25th.

I absolutely agreed both 1732 and 1706 deserved higher spots on the list. But then again, I didn’t vote either…
