Heya everyone, I’m a part of team 7183. We want to expand our media a bit more, especially in the video sense. Does anyone have any ideas for uploads? It can be serious, goofy, or anywhere inbetween!
A weekly quick tip. 1 minute or less video that shows some little tip to make your robot building life easier.
Go around to other local teams and interview their students + mentors to show off how they prepare for the upcoming build season (and continue to film a “how we work” sort of series.
To get noticed within your school’s student body, you could try doing some of the TikTok/reels/whatever dance trends with your mascot.
For examples, you can use 3255’s channel for quick robot snapshots and clips, and 9062’s channel is a good example to follow as well. I have drawn inspiration from both of them, they are great channels and they know their stuff.
Our team typically uses our YouTube page for robot previews, robot/game explanations, and game highlights. We also have safety videos that we show to the team that are not uploaded in order to teach any newer members about specifics, such as rules for safety glasses (always wear them in when working), how to handle equipment, etc.
We make some fun weekly recap videos.
Search our history. For free wheeling fun, go back 5+ years. You will find some gems there. Our recent stuff is pretty bland.
Shamelessly plugging our YT channel here
Our teams approach to media & branding is quality over quantity. If you have any questions, you can let me know or our m&b lead @Sandwich21
Check out this post about how we create our YouTube videos:
some of my favorite frc youtube videos have come from 5409 chargers and cougars gone wild - they have a really nice style of videos. Otherwise, it could be interesting to do robot reviews or other things like that! (also here to shamelessly plug our channel lol)
Honestly, really funny idea, that’ll be great for the instagram!
