Herp… I should have posted this image like a month ago. The lovely people at Rev put this together for us to avoid cutting the end of the motor shaft off or drilling the hex shaft.
The orange parts are what you can add to a MaxPlanetary base stage to get 1:1 with the motor and all features intact. We printed a ring gear stage for the outer orange bit and cut a section of 8mm ID rigid plastic tubing for the orange motor shaft spacer.
Right now our shooter is not end-bolted into either MaxPlanetary, just retained with shaft collars and tape on the shaft.
Thank you! Hedly is probably the best robot we’ve ever made in terms of software and controls, and the first with functioning vision anything.
I have mixed feelings on our 2013 robot, hehe. Sikdar was a great example of overthinking and prioritizing the wrong things and simultaneously ‘that is batshit insane and actually works, plus it has a trash can and a banner’ (mostly thanks to 20 and 195).
That trash can is still our classroom trash can.
