Welcome to the INTO THE DEEP build thread for team 14204, The Super SCREAM Bros. We are a team based in Decatur, Il and our currently on our 7th year competing in FTC. We have a sister FLL team named 4H SCREAM which is currently on their 11th year competing.
Super SCREAM Bros. Build Thread Update 1
Overall Season Strategy
Our strategy for the INTO THE DEEP season started out by using our RI3D robot to compete at meet 1 and 2. Our version 1 robot, George, was very simple on the design side, to allow for our programming team to have more time to creating a capable and consistent auto to gain TB1 points. While our programming team works on George, a second robot would be made called, Crab-bot, and eventually Aristocrab.
Game Strategy
V1 Robot: George
Our V1 robot was built during our RI3D. The chassis of the robot is a GoBilda Mecanum chassis. Our horizontal extension is a long robotics slide, powered by a linkage driven servo. The intake on the end would drop samples into our bucket, which would be raised by a GoBilda steel viper slides. On the slides is a claw to be able to pick specimen off the wall.
V2 Robot: Crab-bot
Our V2 robot uses a dual viper slide extension and a should to rotate the slides. On the end of the slides is an active intake.
V3 Robot: Aristocrab
Between V2 and V3, the major difference is the slides. V3 uses Swyft Slides to lower the cneter of gravity to have better control with the slides extended up.
