I would think lead screws aren’t allowed, but I saw a video of an FTC team using it last year in their robot.
Is it allowed?

Yes Lead Screws are allowed, they are to be considered Threaded Rod.
In addition to the TETRIX, LEGO, and/or MATRIX components, teams may use additional materials
to construct their robots providing they meet the following constraints:
a. Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) assemblies are not permitted with the exception of the following:
- Linear Slides.
- Non-motorized Turntables and Lazy Susans.
3. Lead Screws and threaded rod plus compatible nuts.- Servo blocks (e.g. ServoCity Part # SB608SH and SB609SH).
- 25 chain and compatible connector links and half-links.

Sweet, thanks.
I think I have said this many of times on here but if you are planning to use a lead screw keep that thing well lubricated. My biggest rule of thumb if your lead screw is shiny it isn’t lubed enough.
