[FTC]: Conveyor Belt Lego Parts

We are trying to lift the pucks up using a conveyor belt. We have used some of the lego conveyor parts we had lying around, but we are having a hard time finding where to buy more.

I think this might be them.

but I’d really appreciate it if anyone who has built a conveyor with lego and remembers what they used could help out before we plop down the cash.

wait how did u do the conveyor. i thought u could only use the lego parts that come with the kits. not just any lego parts, or am i wrong?

I think…hm…

This has not been addressed. I’m going to go ahead and post this on/in the FIRST forums for an official answer.

Q: Is the quantity of lego parts limited to what is in the competition kit, or just the type?

I.e. can we use more Lego beams than what was provided in the competition kits?

A: The intent of the rule is to limit the type of Lego part not the quantity. You may use additional quantities of any part that comes with the kit except as restricted by rule <R5>.

So if it is in that lego kit, you can use as many of them as you please, otherwise, we can’t use them as they are limiting us to use certain parts.

soo… if the conveyor parts were not included in the Lego KOP box are we not allowed to use it? EX: parts we have left over from FLL not included in this years lego kit for ftc?
Does anyone know if the small Lego rubbery tank treads were included in the lego KOP this year?

The only rubbery parts are the large tires, the medium tires, the really skinny round tires, and the rubber bands. there are no specific parts that can be used to build a conveyor.

ROPE??? unlimited??? going in a loop???

Rope by it self would be use less…the pucks would simply fall down the rope…try rope + zip ties. I think you will have more luck with that :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: .

we never go to the point of actually prototyping a rope conveyor we just thought up the idea during brainstorming
