They are on all formats SolidWorks ProE Inventor and more on www.3DContentCentral.com. Use the keyword “Tetrix” . Select the file format, year of software (you can go back a few years) and download to your harddrive. Unzip the file.
If you have SolidWorks you can drag/drog a 3DContentCentral part right into the graphics window.
To link to the folder where you put all your robot components, from the Design Library, use Add Folder location, browse to your robot component folder on your desktop - this will save you alot of time when creating assemblies.
Before you start your assemblies - really think about symmetry, mirror component and component pattern. Build the sub assembies as you would physically assemble them.
Thanks Marie! Should we link to these on 1323’s library for others who might be looking for the parts? Or should they be uploaded and categorized for faster reference?
Marie thank you for the recourses, but i already have the 2008 kop i need the new parts in the 2009 kop like the omni wheels, sprockets, set screw hubs, and tube plugs which are not on the PTC list or 3d content centrals list either.
I’m assuming they will have them up in a few days. I’ll just have to wait for the update i guess.
I called my colleagure responsible for the Tetrix parts, a great SolidWorks user, who actually makes the new parts - it is always better to get the model from the source. When the model is created in SolidWorks it can be downloaded in any file format from 3DContentCentral. Give me a day or two. I think this might work.
You can definitely link to 1323 - I should have the other parts posted by tonight and will post the individual links here. If I am missing any parts from the kit let me know. If the manufacturer is a SolidWorks customer, I can usually get the model file. marie
Wait a few seconds, all the new Tetrix models are posted on this page and it will take a moment to come up. But the results are really cool. You can move the Omni wheel around.
I believe this ball is made of PVC, the mass is correct - but if you think the slot size should be different, please let me know. I dont have the actual ball.
Be certain to check both configurations if you want yellow and white. If you want to create a linear pattern of baseballs, use the sketch line I used in the slot cut as a reference in the assembly. This will save you time.
