Based on you cited rule (which I’m assuming is the one that allows COTS parts with a single degree of freedom), and last year’s rules (which explicitly allowed drawer slides), I would say they are most likely perfectly legal this year, based on the rules and prior intent.
Yes, In part c. of that rule, it has it typed out,
“Assemblies of COTS components, such as linear slides, and gearboxes are allowed”
