Hey… I will be attending the New York City FTC Event on April 5th… I was wondering what teams will be attending! And im looking foward to seeing you there
Its great to see team impulse is going to go to another competition. You have a great robot this year, and we had a very difficult time beating your team in MA.
team 231 will be there with a new and improved robot:)
hope to do better than in jersey
Team Overdrive will be there for final testing and practice before Atlanta!
Unfortinantly things have come up and Team Impulse wont be able to attend the NYC FTC Tournament…
Srry team impulse that must suck to drop out of a regional. Team 232 the mechanical misfits will be there!Hoping to win it, or at least be finalists now that we can turn. Although it was awsome we came in 9th at NJ without turning!

“Not turning” was our specialty last year. This year all of our robots turned (and we used eight omni wheels to prove it). Everyone have fun in New York. Maybe next year we’ll put it on our travel schedule.
We would probably have omni wheels if we didnt have to share money with our little (or bigger since they’re in high school and we’re just 2 8th graders and a 7th grader) sister team 231

Everyone ready? I wondering if they are going to release a team list any time soon.
That would be nice but i doubt they will.

Sweet, awesome to see Overdrive coming to NYC as well. It’ll be great playing with you guys, we may even pair up…you never know:rolleyes:
Yup, maybe.
ONLY 2 DAYS AND ITS OFF TO NEW YORK!!!:ahh:

Hey guys, we actually have a problem and wanted to know if you guys could help.
It seems that we’ve “misplaced” the new batteries we got in the kit and now all we have left are the old ones from previous year. These things barely hold a charge anymore because they are constantly used for the robotics classes in school.
So, my question is, can anyone please bring in extra batteries for 231 to use? If not, then if we could just borrow someone’s new batteries for our rounds that would be awesome. Please let me know asap. Thanks.
Come up to our pit at the event I am sure we can lend you two. Just walk towards the big yellow banner that says Team Overdrive and ask one of my fellow team members or my self.
My friends and I are about to leave for NYC. See everyone tomorrow.
CANT WAIT FOR THE COMPETITION!!! LAST MINUTE PREPARATIONS AND THEN ITS TIME TO RELAX!!!
-MISFIT:D
Thanks 74 for the batteries.
Thanks 232, you were great…too bad we had to face the #1 alliance first =/
Glad we walked home with the motivate award and we couldn’t have done that without you guys.
I’m still upset about the fact that alliance selection hasn’t been serpentine…it gets really unfair when teams just pick off within the top seeds.
It was a great competition yesterday - many great robots, awesome teams, lots of wonderful volunteers making it all happen!
As a rookie competitor yesterday. That was extremely fun. I had a good time getting to know other teams.
I still can’t believe my team (123 a.k.a. Trial & Error) got ranked 6 in empire. Too bad our triple alliance broke down with Team 146 (their robot was our alliance’s primary scorer and a motor came off right after the second game (we won the first, lost the second), in the quarter finals. I’m glad that we were able to get Team 124 (a.k.a. Squirrel Jaws) another team that my school sent into our triple alliance. Turns out team 146 alliance with them in a qualifying round.
I have no idea who won so…Anyways does anyone know if Team 123 or Team 124 won anything?
Great job to the alliance that won though!
