A hogshead is measures some amount. I think it’s on the inside of those black-and-white speckled notebooks. The slug is a weird named unit too.
Also, a fig newton is 1 kilogram of figs accelerating at 1 m/s/s.

well there is the amount of gold in a gold item Karat is that what you are thinking of?
There’s two kinds of “karats”:
Carat: measures mass. Used mostly with diamonds, etc. 1 carat=200mg
Karat: measure of purity of gold, in 1/24ths. Ie 12k=50% pure, 24k=100% pure.

rods and fathoms
Rods are I think length and fathoms depth.

and that’s not neccesarily true, depending on the weight of the paper a ream could be more or less
Index or card stock comes 250 sheets to a ream.
