Fusion 360 Part Generators

Hi all. Last year, our team used generator files in Autodesk Inventor that you could open, choose an option, and it would automatically create a part like a piston cylinder/stroke or pulleys. This year we’re moving to Fusion 360, and none of those files work in Fusion. I was wondering if anybody knew whether such generator files existed for Fusion, as it would help us avoid having to manually download a lot of individual files for a part library.
Thanks

Generators like you are describing are available as plugins for Fusion, however I can’t speak to if any of them are good. Manually downloading files might be the better play here.

Autodesk thankfully has STEP files for everything in the KOP. STEP files are best, and I would add them as you use them to build up a library over time.

For anything made of tube, I would make base files, something like 12 long in whatever tube dimensions you use. When you want to make a part out of tube, you can then bring in the base tube file into a new file, and break the link. This will allow you to edit the length of the tube in the new part file and add hole features and the such without editing the original base file. You could probably also do the same sorta thing with “low poly” bolts (un-moddeled threads).
