I just want to kno which team are ready to go on to the FVC world champ. give us a little descition of ur robots too.
My team is leaving our Florida Regional winning robot alone and building a brand new one.
That way if we try to make modifications to it we dont ruin it and end up with no bot.
So far we have the new chasis done, 1 out of 2 towers, and 1/2 of the arm done. Iād say we will be done with the hardware part of it in atmost 2 weeks.
My robot is built and waiting for the San Diego Regional.
How did the regional turn out? Iād imagine California is a rather competitive state.
This URL takes you to an interesting Q&A on the official FVC Q&A Forum.

There will be one huge tournament ladder at the World Championship in Atlanta. The Field of competitors will not be broken up into divisions that produce division champs who compete to be World Champs.
Iām surprised.
Blake
Iām a little surprised too. They claim over 70 teams will be at the championships. I envisoned something like an FRC super-regional with 2 divisions. I have never been at one, but I hear these super regionals have about 80 teams. This would seem to match up best to the number of Vex teams at the Championships.
On the flip side, I believe I read somewhere that they would have 2 fileds. They will flip/flop matches to prevent any lost time with scoring and field reset. Maybe this is how they will be able to fit so many teams into one division.
Scouting will be hard - especially since they will not release a list of teams (or at least they havenāt yet)
Hey - can we continue this thread with teams posting that they will be in Atlanta for the chamoionship? Maybe you can post a picture if itās not too secretive. Our robot is still undergoing modifications, so I donāt have pictures yet.
For the record, FVC Team 3228 will be there.
Good idea, but we already beat you to in on the VexLabs Forum.
Please post your regional results and āWhoās going to Atlantaā info in this VexLabs thread: http://www.vexforum.com/showthread.php?t=1176
Thanks, Blake
1902 will be there as well.
3652 FLAME will be coming
Guys & Gals - You can do us all a big favor by taking a second to report the results of whatever regional(s) you attended, in addtion to reporting that your individual teams are headed for the World Championship - Give us the name/numbers of the Winning Game Alliance members and of the Inspire winner; and I/we can post it in a master list at this VexLabs location: http://www.vexforum.com/showpost.php?p=7903&postcount=6
Thanks!
Blake
No offense intended, butā¦
- I am not a member of the vexforum site (maybe I should join, but I havenāt)
and - Your thread is entirely different. You are posting teams that won regioanls and inspire awards. I am asking for teams that are actually coming. Being eligible to come and actually coming are sometimes very different things. If you donāt mind, Iād like to have teams continue this thread.
For your vexlabs thread, the Florida Regionals were won by us (SPAM Team 3228) and the alliance captain from Michael Kropp HS in Miami (3332). The Inspire Award winner was 1902 (Exploding Bacon). Here is a link to a bunch of pictures from the event:
Of course that event was in December. Our robot has undergone some serious redesigns since then. I suspect the other eligible teams would have too.
Iām heading down to volunteer and looking forward to meeting all the new teams and reuniting with all the teams who competed last season!
No offense intended but;

Not everyone has a CD accountā¦ I recommend using both the VexLAbs and CD discussion forums if you wish to connect with a broader Vex community.

Gee - I guess you are right, having a master list of regional winners who are eligible to go to the Worlds in Atlanta; followed by posts in that thread saying anything anyone wants, like whether or not a particular team plans to attend, is completely different.
Seriously, what do I care if this thread continues? I am subscribed to and keep up with the Vex info on both sites.
Thanks so much for the Forida info, and keep up the good work.
Good Luck in Atlanta,
Blake

Donāt know if the others are going to Atlanta, but we are!
My team and 3390 will be coming incognito
Our robot feeds balls up a 7 tank tread wide tread to a basket. The basket is lifted to height by two motors. The basket can hold somewhere around 20 balls and they can be scored at the same time. Once we get our autonomous ironed out we will (cross your fingers) be able to pick up two stacks in autono and also score them. In addition to that we will also remove the atlas ball from the field so that way scoring more balls wins.
We are not completely sure on our design yet. We are redoing our manipulator and trying to make our robot more robust. soo yea weāll see.
our bot just scores 5 balls really fast(about 4 seconds!!) at a time. and can park on the platform.
it uses just a basic double belt arm on a piviot
I will be at the FVC World Champ Event volunteering so I hope to meet all of you and have a great time. Good luck to all teams!
