[FVG]: Anyone Interested in Getting Updates? (TO ALL CDers)

Okay, I am willing to send out updates through email (with the help of Mike Ciance, if he’ll agree to this) to all CDers interested in finding out what we’re doing with the video game.

This will pretty much include all updates on coding, music, etc. All the works. It will also include things we need from anyone who can give them to us. For example, right now we need some sounds from the actual game (like the buzzer, ball dropping sound, etc.).

So, is anyone interested in actually getting updates through email about the FIRST Video Game? If so, please put your name and email in a reply to this thread. I’d be happy to put you on the list.

Thank you!

(Sorry I’ve been really inactive in FVG recently, I’ve fallen behind but will hopefully catch up soon)

I’d be interested, although I don’t think a ginormous amount of detail is ncessary. Just a brief update when important things come to light. It’s a lot easier to stay updated on the FVG if it comes handily into the email and then iming you bout it, rather than finding time to visit all the webpages.

Thanks for taking this on yourself Dori. Awesome contributin.

No problem Genia. I need something to do in all this.
Thanks babe for the idea. I’ll keep it in mind. We do need things from anyone who can help though.

I plan to help out on the game, once I get some more time. (Especialy since the season is starting.)

Thank you, Dori!

i have a newsletter set up which i mail from the account [email protected]. it will not be sent during build, but is regularly scheduled for every two weeks on fridays. there is also an announcements list. people who want the most info should sign up for both lists. people who just want the big stuff should sign up for announcements, and people who dont need the news right away should just sign up for the newsletter. i will sign up everybody here for both lists, if you wish to change your subscriptions email [email protected] stating the change you wish to make.

we are working on setting up a better newsletter system through Ultimate Robot Challenge download | SourceForge.net. this would include a newsletter system for the crew and another for the public. any subscriber could mail a special address and it would be sent to all other subscribers. right now we only have crew set up, and we are still working on setting stuff up. when it is all set up for public use i will announce it, though this may not be until well after build season.

Correction: Both lists are set up. We have furc-crew for actual people working on it; and furc-public for those who want to hear about when we finally make it to alpha. (Won’t that be a glorious day?)
