G43 Clarification

I’m fairly new to First and am a little unclear about the wording of the foul for G43 -

Violation: FOUL. For every five (5) seconds in which the situation is not corrected, FOUL

Does this mean that contact that lasts for just a second or 2 would not be a Foul? It would be “corrected” (i.e. drive away) in under the 5 seconds which would appear to be the threshold for the Foul to be called. If not, why the wording which includes the 5 second count? I recall in 2014 refs counting out the “pin” times before calling the Foul, is rule the same or different?

I read it as a momentary interference incurs a FOUL, with FOULS every 5 seconds it isn’t corrected.

Pinning is a bit different in that the first FOUL occurs 5 seconds in. So, take care around your own OUTER WORKS when opponents are near.

Given how the blue box is worded, I believe the first interaction is a foul, no matter what you do to them. If you pin them or interact with them more, its a foul per 5 seconds of interaction.

So first contact is an immediate foul, with an additional foul every 5 seconds thereafter if you continue contact…makes sense. Thx

Not just contact, but impede or otherwise restrict them from the outer works. The blue box is specific and particularly strict.
