We are curious what other teams are going for at competition this year. We were thinking of being able to shoot at all levels and put caps on the lower level. Are any teams putting caps on the upper levels or should we consider going for those?
After much deliberation, and keep in mind we have yet to finalize this, but we determined hatches to be more important than cargo for a few main reasons.
1: you have to do hatches before cargo
2: hatches brings in nearly the same amount of points and is arguably easier to do
3: doing it well on all levels makes you a valuable asset going into playoffs as your allainace members only have to focus on cargo.
4: doing all levels helps with that ranking point on the rocket

I agree with your statement on the Hatches: They are the most vital Instrument to full success in regards to the Main Gameplay.
I also see a high value in doing the Cargo. Reasoning is because of the extreme weight of importance put onto the Hatch Panels, Many will pursue it (similar to Steamworks and the Gears). and Few will pursue the Cargo (Like Fuel).
Keep in mind, in order to fully receive your Ranking point you need both Cargo and Hatch Panels. With an Emphasis of being able to do the Hatch Panels with Success, I believe a better focus might be to go with the Cargo Efficiently (Key term).
To your first point, I somewhat disagree. I feel that most team are probably thinking the exact same thing as you. They are thinking that hatches will happen a lot so we should do cargo to out think them. Honestly i’m not sure their is anyway to predict how its going to go.
To your second point I ask how common you think that ranking point will be. In my onion, you would have to have an excellent hatch robot and an excellent ball robot to be able to come even close to getting it. From our teams cycle estimations, a team would be lucky to get 7 hatches/ balls during the 105 second mid game period. Meaning, during the majority of quails matches it would be very hard to get this ranking point, and when you get to playoffs it no longer helps to get ranking points.
@AvKauf I noticed you also said that you wanted to “shoot” the cargo. Based on the size of the holes (16 inches) and the size of the cargo (13 inches), that gap might be too small to do anything accurately…
