Hi, me and my team were discussing about how to get the gear into the spring and lift it. In the rules it does not specify it but, can the gear be in contact with the robot while it is being lifted? Or does the gear just have to be in contact with the spring in order to be lifted?

Gear can still be on robot and pilot can pull it up, this has been answered in Q&A.
Just make sure that you robot does not obstruct the pull.
