Hey,
This year our team wants to have a sensor. I do not know how to wire it up,
or the best way to connect it to the gears. We are using the Andy Mark gear box.
I read the sensor manual and it did not give me the information that i wanted.
All i understand is that one of the pwm cables needs to go to the dig/out on the rc board.
What do i do with the other one? Also how do i make sure the pwm cables do not fall out of the sensor? Do i solder them?
Please Help :o
Hi, please search for other threads about the gear tooth sensor, they should have the information you need. Here is a search…

You will see that other teams have problems with one sensor working and the otehr not working! Apparently there was a manufacturing mistake and two of the tiny resistors (R3 and R4) are switched on one of the boards. So first take a close look at your boards with a magnifying glass, and see what the numbers are on them, they should be 1001 and 1004, see if both boards have the same numbers in the same places for R3 and R4, if not then you need to repair the one that is wrong (which is quite tricky to do because they’re so small).
The other cable goes to the 12v fuse panel.
And you need to solder the wires onto the boards, but first check to see if the board needs to be repaired.
