Anyone that has applied for the Gene Haas Foundation grant in the past, when are the awardees typically announced?

December usually. Is the grant application open already?

When I recently talked with them, they said they were looking to get announcements out mid-November and then on a rolling basis. (At least based on how they worded the conversation)

I’ve heard the same. I’ve been told the first wave will go out Nov 15, then the second sometime in Dec/Jan

Can confirm, My team got an email from Gene Haas a few weeks back asking about our banking details to send a check “if” we receive the grant. (for reference the only times we were asked for details was when we received the grant else we heard nothing)

also iirc they don’t announce it really just they ask for banking info then send a check mid November then rolling dates after than

I forgot if November 15th was for this or something else. They did the plan was to push the rest in the new year, and try to avoid the problem they had last year where a ton of checks weren’t deposited.

Haas Foundation rep was at Beach Blitz two weeks ago. She said that they are still in the process of assigning grants and that they will go out sometime in December to early January, iirc.

So, not sure how much that helps, but there it is.

We just got an email informing us we are receiving a grant. So hope others hear soon, too.

We received an address confirmation a couple of weeks ago, and received the confirmation of funds just today.

We are still waiting for the address confirmation email. I reached out to Haas a couple weeks ago to verify that I had not missed email yet and found out that under the restrictions of the grants, they only issue one grant per team per year. Considering we received our grant mid February last year. That means that we will not receive the grant until mid. February next year.

Thank you everyone for your responses. We got the award email last night. Apparently they roll the announcements out. I hope all of you here are awarded the grant as well.

We received an e-mail Wednesday telling us we got the grant.

Was it said somewhere that today is the last day? I thought it just switched to a rolling basis on getting funding?

You’re right; the October 15 applies to international teams.

FWIW the Formula Student batch of Gene Haas grants have been awarded — not sure how much these are attached to the FIRST batch, but the submissions are on the same form.

We got an email saying we received the grant about an hour ago as well.
