**Ok, how about you think about what I said before you jump to a reaction. The newbies have NO intention of learning ANYTHING about robotics. This is the point I was trying to make that obviously went WAY over your head. On top of the fact that they have the combined mechanical skills of an ANT does not make things any better. I am easily annoyed, and things like this annoy me. Would you appreciate being put on a back burner in favor of a bunch of young, inexperienced, immature kids who really have nothing to do with what the applied for? By the way, the last thing, “open up”, was uncalled for. Chill. **
I don’t jump to conclusions. I examine situations and call it like I see it. There is very little that goes over my head, even. I know what I read, I meant what I said, and there was nothing about your post that I did not understand.
FIRST, of course, is an acronym. We all know what it stands for, but do we know what it means?
FIRST is meant to inspire students. FIRST is aimed at those girls on your team. They don’t know anything about mechanics, or electricity, or programming, or machining. They have no interest in it, either. They’re perfect candidates for FIRST.
In my opinion, you do deserve to be put on the back burner. You sound like you’re going to pursue technology no matter what happens, so why should I waste my energy on you when it’s better spent on people who don’t even realize the potential they have?
Your post did not go “over my head;” nor did your arrogance. Your intent was clear. Your intent seems selfish. You are an obstacle to my efforts.
Worry less about what other people are doing and worry more about what you could be doing to make things better for everyone.
