I thank you so much for all of your help and support these last couple of years and helping me with my project. I completed my project (a book of 80 pages!) and received my gold award in May of 2007. I am also happy to announce that my book is getting published. (Well got published) The official release date is 5/5/08.
Is a link to the book. I am just so happy to get a chance to help kids. Currently it is #46 on hot releases of books about grief, which I guess is kind of cool.
Thank you so much for your support and help, everyone. I couldn’t have done it without you
Excellent Kim! Congratulations! As an Eagle Scout, I have some idea of the huge amount of work that is required for a Gold Award. The fact that you went above and beyond and got your book published is amazing! Good Job!
Congratulations on receiving the Gold Award and on having your book published! I’ll be sure to check it out!
Achieving the Gold Award is no easy task for today’s Girl Scout. Last year approximately 5500 girls in the US achieved this goal, representing around 5% of the eligible GS in grades 10-12. To compare, close to 52,000 Boy Scouts received Eagle Scout Award in the past year, which also represents about 5% of the Boy Scout population.
So to you, Kim, and to all of the Gold Award GS and Eagle Scouts who have chosen to go above and beyond, well done!
